The application will still run and allow Penn Staters to complete the 2FA process however, users may experience a slower authentication process than those with an updated OS. DUO APP INSTALL UPDATE
Starting on Friday, June 1, mobile devices running older operating systems (OS) such as iOS 9 or Android 5 will not be able to install Duo Mobile, the application used for Penn State’s two-factor authentication (2FA). Application stores for mobile devices and smartphones, including the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, will update the minimum OS requirements on June 1.
